What If

What if the world wasn't so cruel?
What if you could just be you?
What if the world wasn't so dark?
What if people could finally see your spark?
Not only see you as scared and alone,
But see you for facing challenges all on your own?

What if children weren't abused?
Or just used and seen as props, or people who break rules?
What if they were respected rather than neglected?
What if they were seen as human beings
And not trapped in a cage fighting to be free?

What if we all worked together as a community
And made the world a better place for everybody?
What if we put an end to all abuse
And just be there for someone who needs a friend?

Why

Why do women have to hide in a shell?
Why can't women just be themselves?
Why are some men so cruel
And make women scared to just be you?
Aren't women supposed to feel safe
Rather than feeling like a man's slave?

What happened to being respected?
Because right now women are feeling neglected.

Why is the world turning into such a place
Where it feels like I'm in a dark space?

We need to make a change
For women who are abused or seen as tools.
Let's make a change so women could be in a brighter place.
